Our first Guitar Hero tournament in April 2009 was so much fun, we decided to do another one later in the year. On August 15, 2009, we had our second Metallica Guitar Hero tournament. We had 11 players which were split up into 4 "bands" with 3 members each (Jessie was in two bands). We tried to have both PS3's and big screen TVs going on the same time, but little did we know that it's impossible to have 2 PS3's playing Guitar Hero at the same time. We think it had something to do with the guitars or something. Oh well, live and learn.

We played a 4-band double-elimination tournament with the same rules as the first tournament. Let's meet the 4 bands:

Damage, Inc.
(Roge, Eric and Dawn)

Thunderfuck
(Andy, Jeff and Darren)

Stiffened Wounds
(Slava, Jessie and Justin)

Three Puppeteers
(Gary, Jessie and Laura)

"Thunderfuck" breezed through the first couple of round and made it to the finals. The other band in the championship was the "Stiffened Wounds", which won its opening round battle, but lost its second round. They had to beat "Thunderfuck" twice, which they did. Songs played in the this tournament were "Seek & Destroy", "Creeping Death", "Shortest Straw", "Disposable Heroes", "Dyer's Eve", "Judas Kiss" and "All Nightmare Long". Congratulations to the "Stiffened Wounds" who were deemed the "Gods of Thunder".

Prizes included: shows from LiveMetallica.com and other Metallica goodies!

The final standings were:

• 1st place - Stiffened Wounds
• 2nd place - Thunderfuck
• 3rd place - Damage, Inc.
• 4th place - Three Puppeteers
