Year ya "discovered" Metallica?
Sometime in the late 1984/early 1985 time period, when I found Ride the Lightning at the local Penguin Feather, which was my record store of choice back in high school.
Guestimate how many Met shows you’ve seen.
40 something, the first show being on the Ozzy tour in '86; the most recent being the Jersey St. Anger indoor gig in '04.
List the setlist (no more than 18 songs) that YOU would like to see Metallica play:
This is a tough one, and would probably change from day to day, week to week, etc...anyway, here goes:
Ecstasy of Gold intro
- Creeping Death
- Four Horsemen
- Sad But True
- Bleeding Me
- Blackened
- The Thing That Should Not Be
- Fuel
- The God That Failed
- Fixxxer
- Sanitarium
- Unnamed Feeling
- Fade To Black
- Disposable Heroes
1st encore:
- Battery
- Master Of Puppets
- One
2nd encore:
- Breadfan
- Dyers Eve
List YOUR favorite venue that YOU would like to see Metallica play in:
Another tough question. I'd have to go with a smaller, 500-1000 seat club, i.e. the Fillmore, NorVa, or 9:30. Or better yet, the old Bayou.
What is YOUR favorite stage setup?
Would be just a basic low club stage, with minimum spacing between the stage and crowd. And all the idiot out of control moshing/ninja dancing morons would be banned. Oh, and openers would be Jerry Cantrell doing a 30-minute mixed set of Alice and his solo stuff, following by a 45-minute set of In Flames crushing out Sweden's finest.
