MADDIES!!!

Steven Wiig here.

I've had a lot of people inquire about my side-project (The Guzzinta Bros.) with Jason Newsted. Well, here are a few details (for those of you who can stomach the sense of humor involved) on the tracks we recorded back in February of '97 at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. I'd love to tape this for you all but, as we all know how things are with Metallica and Jason's projects, this one will also have remain "under wraps" for the time being.

GUZZINTA BROS. "FREAKBITCHES"

  1. TRIPPINDICULOUSFREAKBITCH

A light-speed intrumental (with the exception of the chants, "Guzzinta! Guzzinta! Guzzinta-zinta-zinta!" and "Freak-Bitches! Freak-Bitches! Freak-ee Bitch-es!") intro.

  2. GUTSY GIRL (Valerie)

A funky song (with horns) about a 5-year-old girl who gets her guts sucked out by a faulty pool drain.

  3. FRANKENDWARF (The Pint-Sized Pervert)

A song about an at-large, genetically-altered dwarf who's wanted by the law for his breaking and entering sex-crime attacks.

  4. (Let Them Eat) ROCKS

"Let them eat rocks" are the only lyrics in this "song".

  5. QUEEN RAT

A "trip-hop" song about the Queen being fed fried rat. Remixed with no vocals as "Vampiric"

  6. CARRIE (The Razor-Tongued Runt)

A very dark song about a 2'9" foot tall, 310 pound female circus-dwarf cursed with a temper and a vicious hunger for men.

  7. TRIPPINDICULOUSFREAKBITCHES

    Instrumental outro remix.

All songs created and performed by Galvin and Gilroy Guzzinta.
All songs copyright 1997 J. Newsted / S. Wiig.
Manufactured and protected by The Unfathomable Trippindiculous Records.

That's about all I can give you for now. The style is MUCH different from that of any of the other projects you may have heard (or heard about) from Jason. We were in a very experimental state and made use of several different electronic-based instruments. The songs are more hip-hop (or "trip-hop", as we called it) than metal.

Back in October of '97 we began working on songs for the next "record". From the way it's going, it's just as out-there as the first one. Maybe someday you'll all get to hear more of this and Mr. Newsted's other twisted creations. I truly enjoyed being able to get creative (and just plain silly) with someone I've admired and respected for such a long time. I'm fortunate, to say the least.

Thanks for your interest and STAY MAD!
